GHE Teaching Fellow Program
Thank you for your interest in being a Girls Health Ed Teaching Fellow! Our programs would not be possible without you and all your hard work. Below are the key missions each teaching fellow of GHE aims to provide.
Everything You Need
Being a teaching fellow is an important commitment.Teaching fellows take a personal responsibility in making a difference.
In order to ensure that you are fully aware of and prepared for the responsibilities, we ask that you read, sign, and return the Teaching Fellow Agreement and the Reimbursement Policy so that you can plan your role as a teaching fellow appropriately.
For DC Teaching Fellows
The DC Child and Family Services Agency requires that all Teaching Fellows serving in any DC sites be trained mandated reporters. Please complete this online training prior to facilitating any workshops and email your certificate to ghe.outreach@gmail.com.
Are You Qualified?
If you are interested in being a teaching fellow for Girls Health Ed, here are some basic qualifications that we look for when considering candidates:
- Experience working in a teaching environment or working with youth.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of our health modules.
- Background or related experience in public health or health-related field.
- Passion for our mission.
- Ability to commit for one year.
- Ability to pass a basic background check.
- Must be female.
- Must be 18 years of age.
